BIGBANG in Talks to Appear on “Running Man” for First Time in 3 Years
Several industry insiders have stated that the group has a “Running Man” appearance coming up, and in a statement to Sports Today on the morning of May 13, an affiliate of SBS Entertainment said, “BIGBANG is going over final details regarding their ‘Running Man’ appearance. The filming date is predicted to be near the end of this month, but it hasn’t been decided as of yet.”
“Running Man” producer Im Hyung Taek also spoke to media, and said, “It hasn’t been confirmed yet. They are currently in discussions for an appearance.”

BIGBANG will be unveiling two new songs on June 1, and are about to film the music videos. The songs are already complete, and the music videos will be utterly and uniquely different from each other.
One song is by Director Seo Hyeon-seung while the other one will be directed by Digipedi. Seo is already attracting much attention as he filmed the latest “BAE BAE.” The already-famous video clip goes far beyond providing just visual entertainment factors.
Seo is known for his work for BIGBANG’s “FANTASTIC BABY” and 2NE1’s “I AM THE BEST.”
The other music video, filmed by Digipedi, is also attracting much attention because he was in charge of filming EPIK HIGH’s unique video of “BORN HATER.”
BIGBANG’s comeback was highlighted by their amazing performance. They swept across all charts immediately after releasing “LOSER” and “BAE BAE” on May 1, and still stand at the top for 11 days in a row. Their music videos are also attracting much attention. The two very different videos each attracted 15.9 million and 13.1 million hits on YouTube as of 8 am on May 11. Altogether they have drawn in more than 29 million viewers, soon to hit 30 million.
But all eyes are already on the quintet’s following two songs under the veil that are to be revealed on June 1.

BIGBANG Appears in “Happy Together”, 1st Appearance in KBS Entertainment Show in 9 Years since Debut

According to broadcasting industry insiders on the 11, BIGBANG takes part in shooting of “Happy Together 3″ at KBS located in Yeoui-do, Seoul, on May 15. “Happy Together 3″ is a talk show hosted by Yoo Jae-suk, and the show is expected to be a good opportunity for fans to look into BIGBANG’s thoughts.
Some of the BIGBANG members have appeared in “Star Golden Bell” and “Gag Concert” in early days of their debut, but there was no case where all the five members appeared in KBS TV’s entertainment show. It is known that the decision for BIGBANG’s appearance in “Happy Together” was made in a meeting between YG Entertainment’s head YANG HYUN SUK and a high-ranking official of KBS’s Entertainment Bureau. YG artists including BIGBANG have not been appearing in KBS TV’s programs for the recent few years. However, after JINUSEAN’s performance in “Music Bank” this year, the relationship between YG and KBS has turned amicable. Some speculated that YG and KBS may begin communication again by making use of JINUSEAN’s performance in “Music Bank” as an opportunity. In addition, BIGBANG has also made a decision to appear in KBS’s long-lived talk show “Happy Together 3″. So, people are paying keen attention to whether YG artists will actively appear in KBS’s programs to more communicate with fans.
Meanwhile, BIGBANG has been in the No.1 place on the chart of music-streaming websites and music shows since the release of their new song “LOSER” on May 1. They took the top rank in MBC’s “Show! Music Center” on the 9 and received a trophy in SBS “INKIGAYO” on the 10.

BIGBANG to Perform on KBS’ “Music Bank” This Week (Friday)
On May 13, a representative of YG Entertainment shared, “BIGBANG will be appearing on the May 15 live broadcast of ‘Music Bank’ to perform a stage of their new song.”
Following this broadcast, BIGBANG is also set to take part in the recording of “Happy Together” on May 16 for their first-ever appearance as a full group on a KBS variety show since debut nine years ago.
Over the years, YG Entertainment artists were not often seen on KBS variety or music programs, although YGE denied any bad relations with the broadcast network. However, after a recent meeting between Yang Hyun Suk and an official of KBS, it appears that YG artists will be making more frequent appearance on their broadcasts.
Meanwhile, BIGBANG has continued to dominate music sites since the release of “Loser” and “BAE BAE” on May 1.
