YG Entertainment, one of the biggest music labels in Korea, will finally attack the pop music scene with its forerunner artist, in April this year.



According to StarNews’s reporting on the 27, hip-hop duo JINUSEAN, one of YG Family, will release a new song in this coming April, to come back to their fans after 11 years of long break.

The release of JINUSEAN’s new song will arouse big interest from the music scene and fans, in that they are coming back after a long time of absence and that they are releasing YG’s first official new song for this year.

YG has already achieved success in the first quarter of this year, as its K-pop idol group BIGBANG completed their Japan dome tour in a great success by drawing total 740,000 people of audience, and as WINNER has come under a spotlight of the foreign media. However, YG has not been releasing a new song in the first quarter of 2015, even though its artists including 2NE1, EPIK HIGH, AKMU, LEE HI, WINNER, iKON, as well as a new girl group to newly debut are continuously drawing big attention. That is why the release of JINUSEAN’s new song is regarded as YG’s official start for the year 2015.

YG is keeping secret about the lineup of its artists to come back or debut this year, but it is known that a team to come back, other than JINUSEAN, will be unveiled right after the release of JINUSEAN’s new song.

Return of BIGBANG or iKON… “April Evacuation Warning” for Music Scene

As YG Entertainment has announced that its starting pitcher for the year 2015 will take the plate on April 1, fans’ interest in who the starter will be among YG artists is growing higher.


Plus, a tension is spreading throughout the pop music scene, for this coming April.

YG unveiled “WHO’S NEXT” teaser image on the company’s official blog YG LIFE, on the 25 in the afternoon, to announce the news. The image is marked with a date, April 1, 2015.

The YG artist expected to come back on the day is BIGBANG or iKON. Notably, BIGBANG has already announced that they will come back soon. As BIGBANG is coming back after two and a half years of break since June 2012, fans have been waiting for too long. Since the team is now committed to preparation for their new album for the comeback as a complete team, they are thought to be the one to come back on April 1. Music fans have been speculating that BIGBANG will come back in April this year, but YG said, “Nothing on the schedule for BIGBANG’s comeback has been decided yet”.

The other team to possibly attack the music scene in April is iKON. If that is the case, iKON will make their official debut on the day. iKON’s seven members (B.I, BOBBY, KIM JINHWAN, SONG YOONHYEONG, KOO JUNHOE, KIM DONGHYUK, and JUNG CHANWOO) who were selected through competition in “MIX & MATCH” show aired from September to November, 2014, have already staged their first official performance by standing on the opening stage of BIGBANG’s Japan Five Dome Tour as a guest performer, in November last year. Fans are paying keen attention to how much they have evolved as artists since then, to meet fans with their own performances.

Of course, it may not be the two teams. What is certain here is, however, that a comeback of YG artists who always dominate music charts will exert a great influence on the music scene. That is why pop music insiders are always keen to the timing of artists’ comeback, and paying extra attention to YG artists’ plans. Some of them are even saying that “we should avoid this April for the comeback of our artists”.

Date of Comeback for YG’s Forerunner for 2015 Has been Confirmed… On April 1

YG Entertainment has unveiled a second teaser image that announces the comeback of its forerunner for the year 2015.


After posting “WHO’S NEXT” teaser that announces the first comeback of YG artist in 2015 on its blog on the 25, YG went on to unveil the second teaser image at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

In the first teaser image, a date “201504XX” was marked on a black dynamite, to arouse fans’ curiosity on the exact date. Meanwhile, the second teaser shows a full date “20150401”, which means, YG’s first project for 2015 will be unveiled on April 1.

Seeing the teasers, music fans’ curiosity on the first YG artist to come back this year on April 1, is running high.

YG Confirms BIGBANG Comeback Delay

Multiple reports have confirmed that YG Entertainment is planning to hold BIGBANG’s concert in April, but clarified news on WINNER and iKON’s guest appearance.



According to numerous reports from an anonymous source on March 19th, BIGBANG has scheduled their comeback concert from April 24th to 26th at the Olympic Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea. The concert is described to be a part of their promotional activities for their latest album release.

However, YG Entertainment clarified these reports and stated that, “We scheduled BIGBANG’s concerts from April 24th to 26th in advance. Since making their debut, they have been holding concerts with their album release so we reserve the venues in advance.” It was further explained that the album release has been delayed as the members, who prioritises quality over release dates, are still working hard on their latest material.

Furthermore, as the album release date is yet to be finalised, the decision to continue with the original concert dates is still being discussed. The agency also clarified that WINNER and iKON will not be performing as opening acts, denying previous reports that they will be performing on BIGBANG’s tentative concert dates.

The final decision for their concert dates are set to be confirmed next week.

Previously, YG Entertainment’s CEO Yang Hyun Suk has mentioned, “Prior to the end of this year, following BIG BANG as the lead, WINNER and iKON both will release new albums as well. Three teams are busily preparing for their albums.”
